Hi, I’m Lucy. Before moving to Diabetes UK I was performing cardiovascular research in the lab. I loved being involved in cutting edge research, but one of the parts I enjoyed the most was sharing research experiences with other scientists. Eventually I plucked up the courage to start talking about science and research with the general public by volunteering at science fairs, and decided this was the job for me. I’m now a Research Communications Officer at Diabetes UK, so I get the pleasure of telling people all about the world of diabetes research, the latest findings and big breakthroughs. I hope you enjoy reading our blogs!
