How long have you had diabetes: Nearly seven years. It was completely out of the blue with no history of it in the family.
Why did you want to write a blog for Diabetes UK: I have been considering writing a blog for some time to share my experience of living my life to the full with diabetes. When I saw that Diabetes UK (a charity I selfishly support) had some new bloggers, I jumped at the opportuity to join them. This give me the great oportunity to share my thoughts and experience with a ready-made audience.
What will you talk about: I have many ideas of things to talk about but mostly about the things I have done with my life since being diagnosed with diabetes. This includes long distance walks, urban adventure races, holidays in unusual locations (Uganda, Georgia, …) … hey, I don’t want to give it all away yet! I will also blog about the information I have picked up since January 2004 when I was first diagnosed with diabetes.
Why should people read your blog: Diabetes has not stopped me doing anything and I want to pass the message on to other that you can do what you want.
